Selle Italia SLR Elite Saddle

The SLR saddle from Selle Italia has been shaping road cycling since 1999. This makes it the best-known model in the portfolio of the traditional Italian manufacturer. In its fourth generation, the SLR builds on its legendary comfort and performance – now with a shortened, UCI-compliant length and a modernised silhouette.    The Elite version of the bike saddle, which is designed for use on road bikes, has a large superflow cut-out in the seat area to relieve any pressure from the soft tissue area. The saddle shape has been reduced to the essentials without sacrificing seating comfort. The connection to the seat post clamp is made via a saddle rail made of high-strength yet very light steel.    With the innovative FLEX LFV padding and the revised saddle shell, the new SLR is noticeably lighter than its predecessor – and still offers outstanding comfort.   Technologies:
• UCI-compliant length: 242 mm
• Superflow: SuperFlow technology reduces physical effects that can be triggered by long-term pressure on the perineal area.
• High Strength Steel Rail: high-strength, but at the same time very light steel alloy, Ø 7 mm (round).
• Neutral: The neutral saddle shape is recommended by Selle Italia for riders with average "movement" on the saddle or people with a neutral pelvic tilt.   Technical details:

The idmatch system for Selle Italia saddles: The letter S or L indicates the width of the saddle. The decisive factor here is the distance between your ischial tuberosities:
Choose size S if you have an ischial tuberosity of less than 120 mm.
Choose size L if you have an ischial tuberosity of more than 120 mm. If you do not yet know your ischial tuberosity distance, you can measure it yourself using a piece of corrugated cardboard, a pencil and a tape measure, for example. The numbers 1, 2 and 3 indicate the size and presence of a cut-out in the saddle and are based on the individual pelvic rotation. A possible reference point: If you are able to rotate your pelvis far forwards on the bike and can therefore comfortably bring your upper body into a low position, this indicates high flexibility and you should consider size 3. If you have medium or low flexibility, you should therefore choose size 2 or 1. 1: Closed saddle without cut-out – Suitable for low pelvic rotation.
2: Saddle with small cut-out called "Flow" – Suitable for medium pelvic rotation.
3: Saddle with large cut-out called "Superflow" – Suitable for strong pelvic rotation. You can also find more information at Selle Italia: https://de.selleitalia.com/size-guide/
